Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)

Young at Heart Pharmacy has a deep respect for the challenges that Skilled Nursing Facilities face.  These challenges include reimbursement pressure, tightening budgets, and limited staffing resources.  SNF staff members have to manage long hours in addition to facing the difficult and unique clinical needs of serving the residents they love.  Young at Heart Pharmacy specializes in serving the needs of nursing homes.  Our emphasis is on accurate orders, world class customer service, communication with SNF administrators, nurses, and resident families, and transparent billing.  These skills have been formed as a result of years of experience in the industry as well as a constant desire to listen to the customer and evolve our services to meet their changing needs and requirements.

Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled (IDD) Facilities

IDD facilities are unique providers, and have different needs from customers of retail pharmacies.  We have a deep passion for this marketplace.  Our customers have told us that existing long term care pharmacies cannot service the IDD market in a ‘one size fits all’ manner along with SNFs.  One of our missions is to become the region’s most skilled and knowledgeable IDD pharmacy with a corresponding level of executional excellence.  For example, we have received feedback from many IDD providers that medical records design is a critical service.  We offer custom designed medical records with color photographs of the medicine to help the nurse in dispensing accuracy.  As a result of listening to our customers, clients, and client families, Young at Heart has become one of Indiana’s fastest growing IDD pharmacies.

Assisted Living Facilities (ALF)

The needs of ALFs can often get ‘stuck in the middle’ between retail and traditional long term care pharmacies.  Young at Heart Pharmacy can meet the unique requirements of ALF facilities.  One example is in the area of communication.  Facilities can contact the pharmacy through a variety of methods that suit their needs, including calling our call center, using HIPAA compliant messaging via computer, ordering refills and getting drug pricing information online, and additional methods we are in the process of deploying.

Workplace Clinics

Workplace clinics are a growing marketplace nationally, and are specifically gaining traction in the Midwest region.  Young at Heart Pharmacy services more workplace clinic providers than any other pharmacy in Indiana.  When a workplace clinic provider needs a ancillary pharmacy to service a provider in their clinic, they turn to Young at Heart Pharmacy for our entrepreneurial and flexible services model that can grow and evolve with this emerging marketplace.  We consult and partner with clinic providers, medical directors, and employers to design clinic formularies, pharmacy facilities, and service models.
